Note:   Nancy was the daughter of James who was born in Ireland, came to
Virginia, fought in the Revolutionary War and was granted a bounty land
warrant in Ohio. Nancy: b. 2-14-03, d. 8-8-60. m. 6-1820.

The papers of the estate of Ewing McNutt, brother to Nancy, indicates
that Nancy was a "resident heir"; by implication, therefore, she was
still alive in March 1829, and living in Indiana at that time; she was
also married to John Laverty at that time.[McNutt6.FTW]
